Fireworks!

At the top of the hill, waiting for fireworks. This was on Green Oaks, just south of Pioneer Parkway. We bought fireworks in OK, but we couldn't light them in Lake Murray Park, so we had to wait till yesterday, at home! We only did sparklers and then Bruce, decided to do a smoke bomb for everyone's enjoyment.....
They all came inside the house after that.

We tried to go to Lake Arlington to see the fireworks and go to the festival on the 3rd, but we couldn't get in! We sat at the top of a hill above a golf course and waited for the fireworks to start. The best thing about the experience was this crabby young guy, whose job was to keep people out of the golf course, and subsequently, the parking lot and even the side of the hill. After the fireworks were over, this spectator starts running zigzag across the parking lot and the crabby starts taking off after him but never got to him in time, and it was just too funny!

We thought it was a little kid, but this was a grown man. He was just messing with the crabby guy!

Lake Murray!

We were making smores and reading scriptures! The day we left, just before the tent came down!
Lake Murray was awesome! There was tons of camping, trails and lots of stuff to do. There is a lodge there where you can rent water playthings for 30-60 minutes and play on the lake. We rented a water trampoline, and a canoe. Vega and I got in a kayak and since I had no idea what I was doing, it took us 30 minutes to get back to shore! We couldn't stop laughing cuz' our kayak would go 10 feet and then turn around! Over and over......
It was fun and a good learning experience!

Finally!

We left for Turner Falls on Fri. morning with our friends, Patrick and Vega. We got there around 1pm, but couldn't get in, WE TRIED 4 TIMES! Finally we gave up and went to Chicksaw National Recreation Area. It was a little ghetto but we had fun. We left to find a place to camp before the rain hit, but not before getting frustrated about Turner Falls, again! We drove around Ardmore and all these little podunk roads, then we somehow found Lake Murray. That was definetly worth the drive! Just above Turner Falls, the cute couple!
Can you see the cars backed up for a mile? We waited in that horrible line for 45 minutes, then Bruce turned out when he saw even more cars ahead of him just to pay to get in the Turner Falls Park!

The water isn't usually brown, but it had just rained really hard and there were tons of people in the water!

I finally have pictures to post, so I will split up the posts so they are not too long!

Maybe I wasn't clear....

We have misplaced our camera. Therefore I do not have pics of any of the aforementioned posts. If I was to acquire any pictures of the said events, it would be from and at the mercy of frenetically busy people, so don't get your hopes up. :(
There are a few things we like to do during the summer and if you/kids would like to join us, please contact me and we'll go!
Tomorrow there is a free movie for kids at 10am at the Parks Mall. "The Waterhorse".
There is also storytime at the Central library at 11am and The East Library has a free movie at 4pm.
Thursday at the Lake Arlington park there is a huge family event that I think starts at 5pm; games, bouncehouses, food, fishing? and a lit cardboard boat race? You can find out more on the City website under Parks and Recreation-events! Have a wonderful and safe 4th of July!

Lost camera!

If I had my camera I would have posted pictures of:

All the swimming we've done (and Lilli's runny poop that seems to happen EVERY single time we've gone because I keep forgetting to buy swim diapers, not that the swim diapers would hold it any better).

Eva's acheivement coupons that she seems to get every year from her school. (Unfortuneatly, we can't afford to take her to all the places she has coupons for.)

Some of our house spiffing-up. (not that you would want to see all our new little shelves.)

Pictures of old friends who moved away; Edens (sniff, sniff, tiny cry) and some new friends that we seem to make every time I take the kids somewhere there are other kids. (YEAH for sociable kids.)

All the cool places or things to do that I'm planning on taking the kids this summer!

Nidiam's wedding and reception (all you wedding helpers are rock stars). We now get to see them once a week! (Yay for 1st ward boundaries!)

Any and all things that catch my fancy. I'm working on a few things now (Iridology), (Garden), (Procuring holistic health textbooks since I can't go to med school right now.)

Graduation!

Immediately following the graduation we will reunite at the Bruce Hopewell Home for some heavy refreshments.

Well, almost 2 weeks later and the mass has almost completely softened up/gone!
So thank you for any thoughts or prayers sent our way.
These are not the only changes that have happened but the others are a little too personal to be sharing with anyone, so let's just say " It's alll goooood!"
By the way, I'm not pregnant; for all you skeptical/wise people whose first thought is.....
"No IUD? She's gonna get preggo!"
Yes, I am fertile Myrtle (that was actually my great grandma's name, huh, what a coinkidink!)
but we are thinking about another baby next year. Hopefully we will be out of debt next year, so it will not be so hard.

I found an article in the Fort Worth Child magazine about vaccines and the scheduling/timing and there are real dr.'s who only administer shots 1 at a time and who use Thimerasol-FREE vaccines.

And you can bet I'm gonna be calling her up to bug her about getting those vaccines; either to my Dr. or going to her to get them.

The soapmaking thing is going very slowly.......
I don't have as much time or money as needed to do it, so for all you wise sages please feel free to dole out any advice.
But I am using alot of the fabric a friend gave me. That counts for something, like no waste, right?

By the way, My mother-in-law rocks!
I went to Utah for the weekend For my sisters' graduation (Yay for my UTE rad grad, Michelle! )
and Roxy stayed with the kids, cleaned my house, organized it and decorated it with her own money! Man, How lucky am I? I will post pics of the new sprucing momentarily.

One last thing, I am having a yard sale tomorrow so anyone who is interested in this fabric, come by, and I'll give it to you!
