Bad way to end the day.

Ever have one of those days....?
You work hard, you feel good and you get stuff done that you needed to....
but somehow you get upset over something stupid and end up messing up the end of the day
so that you feel like your day was a total waste?
YESTERDAY!
I went to playgroup, meet and talked with some really nice ladies about preschool, came home, ate a good luch with the kids, took a reasonable nap, got Eva from school, picked up a friend, tried to run an errand and when we got home, the kids were unbearable!
So after a break from everyone, I had to go renew my temple recommend; I ended up taking Eva with me. Interview was great, I even got a phone number to talk to a member who does free financial counseling! It was an answer to prayer in two-fold! We will go to the temple this month!
So, then I went to Target to find some dollar picture frames. Well they were 2.50 and not the right size. So I went to the ladies/girls clothes and hit the jackpot! 5 shirts and pair of shorts; all under 5 bucks. I love Target!
So then I call Bruce and he reminds me that Eva needs to go to bed.

But silly me, instead of going home, I went to visit a friend who was having surgery today, then went to Kroger to buy 10 lbs of plums, apples and a 'few' other items. I hadn't eaten, so I think my judgement was a little clouded. Here I was; tired, hungry and had to get Eva fed and to bed in the next 5 minutes. Needless to say, I took it out on Bruce. Poor baby. He is so nice to me and I was too much of a bear to be nice back.
Mostly because I was really hungry and wanted to spend the rest of the evening with Bruce, just relaxing. But I couldn't 'cause I was too wound up and too tired all at the same time. It was all I could do to not cry before going to sleep.

So I have been praying for my friend (and a little bit for myself) and I know that God hears my prayers because the kids have been really good, and I haven't gotten upset today.

Ok, now for some good stuff;
Lilli climbed into my tub while I was taking a shower, the tub is taller than she is! It was so funny to watch her, she definetly has monkey skills!

Yesterday, Dylan put 2 vacum extensions on his crotch (Naked, between diaper changes) and Ethan noticed, giggled and said "that's a big teetee". Dylan grinned and said between his teeth "No, it's a bigger teetee!"
I couldn't help it, I started laughing, then the boys chimed in! Are all boys like this?

Ethan decided he has the power to disown me. He told me yesterday after I pulled him away from his computer games (pbskids.org); "I'm not going to be your son anymore".

I didn't think it was too funny yesterday, but I keep hoping that these crazy boys will learn to be a little more respectful. That was our FHE lesson this week. How do you explain respect? Love, and listening with kindness and obeying. I don't know if they understood.
I have a mantra that I chant when I want to strangle these kids: "LOVE THEM UNTIL THEY LEARN".
All I know is, it better be true; as in....
they BETTER learn!

Eva is great, I found out on Tuesday from her teacher, that she is spacey (LIKE ME) in school and that she is sweet and is reading at a level 4, instead of level 3. I am proud of her!
I am glad to hear it. I know there are lots of kids who are way more advanced than Eva but I think it's cool that her teacher is so nice and willing to work with us.

Bruce is plugging away at school and thankfully manages to get his work, school and home duties done. He is only four weeks away from getting into his last 2 classes!

Okay, okay, I am asking nicely (won't last long) everyone to come to a party in his (graduation) honor. This is a big deal because I have completely missed (no party) his 30th b-day, (and ahem, a couple of B-days before that). PLUS, he has been in school for 7+ years and has alot to show for it! This shindig will be in December, somtime after the 15th. Details will be forthcoming! He actually asked me to throw a BIG party for him,
So if you know Bruce, you need to be there or you will stand in peril of judgement, possibly hellfire.

No, we are not moving! Not yet anyway. Bruce moves to his new office on Monday!

Allright....
(like Bruce Sr. says when he wants to get away from you-leave.)

Take care and please comment!

ps: i changed the post cuz' it was pretty obnoxious and whiny.

aw elisa... i just got done watching this national geographic channel special.... about the living body... and it followed a women from birth to old age... and it was kind of sad towards the end... and it made me want to take as much good care of myself and my body, as possible...
and then i got on here and read your blog and i felt so much hope! haha. just reading about your wonderful, growing children...
and also, you shouldn't get so stressed (even though you don't).

I love you sisa!

I said don't get so stressed out...even though you don't really... but still... always keep in mind that it ages you... a whole lot. Haha. Well, not you specifically, but everyone.
And umm yeah... I'm going to try and post more. It does encourage me to do so when I get comments, because that tells me people look at it.
Anyway, I wish I could babysit... or I would babysit... but I actually have BIG plans all day Saturday...
I have a photoshoot... like...
I'm going to be the model and not the photographer! I'm pretty excited, yet nervous.
It's not that big of a deal; just helping a friend build her portfolio... but shes really good
and I think we're going to get some really awesome shoots just from the brainstorming/ideas we've come up with. So I'm way excited. It'd be even better if i was beeing paid!
Hahah.

Take things a little easier, enjoying the kids each step of the way.It has taken me a long time to do that. It seems just like yesterday that Roxi and I were chasing Josh, Bruce and John around trying to keep them from killing each other (Jessie was perfect)We are so proud of all our kids.
